What Individual Therapy Helps With
Individual therapy for what you’re going through, whatever that looks like
You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to start individual therapy. Some people come with a clear issue, anxiety, depression, burnout. Others just know something isn’t right and need space to work through it with someone who listens without judgement.
What Individual Therapy Helps With
Individual therapy that goes beneath the surface
Most psychologists on the Sunshine Coast use CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy. It’s effective for managing symptoms, but it doesn’t always reach the deeper patterns driving your distress.
At Liberty, Stacey uses psychodynamic and relational approaches that explore why you feel the way you do, not just how to cope with it. This is therapy that goes beneath the surface, working with the parts of you that have been carrying things for a long time.
Stacey’s background as a soldier and paramedic means she brings something most therapists can’t, lived experience of high-pressure environments, trauma, and the kind of emotional weight that doesn’t respond to textbook strategies. That shapes every session.
